Typesmith
Type to attack. Type to shop. Type to survive.
Typesmith is a roguelike where words drift toward your core type them to destroy them before they land. Every word you clear scores Chips × Mult, and beating the round's target keeps your run alive.
Every part of the game is typed
- Combat is typing. The words coming at you are the enemies. Speed and accuracy are your damage.
- Relics. Balatro-style relics that rewrite how scoring works from run to run.
- Key enchantments. Per-key upgrades, so individual letters start paying differently.
- A shop with no buttons. You buy a relic by typing its name. Reroll, sell and next are words too.
How to play
- Click the game once, then start typing - the embed needs focus before it can read your keys.
- Clear enough words to hit the round's target score before the timer runs out.
- Spend your winnings between rounds, stack effects that combo, and see how far one run goes.
- Esc pauses and resumes.
Free, runs right here in your browser, no download. Best played with a full keyboard.
This is a prototype - tell me what you think
It is an early build, and feedback shapes what gets built next: what felt great, what felt unfair, which relics you wanted to build around, and the score you managed. Leave a comment below with your best run.
